Love

It is indeed amazing
How a starry night rang bells,
Igniting romance that was to follow.
A romance that was pure intimacy
And an ever-deepening love.
It was never easy
To pull up the sock
in a relationship
That is complicated,
Unless the two hearts unite
And sync in perfect harmony.
This harmony is a passionate grouping
Of musical notes that alter
Itself to respond to the signs of time.
A time that never was constant.
The only constant
Being passionate love
Burning bright in the two hearts.
The two hearts were beat
One after the other so the vacuum
Was never felt even in the beating.
Lup dup indeed spelt
You, me
Through out.
You were you
And I was I,
That is what made us We.
We built ourselves
Into being one, soulfully.
Our souls resonated freedom
Of existence of our individual identity
Within each other.
This identity is what we live in each other.

Days have passed,
Months have passed,
Years too; yet it still feels new
Each day going by
Because our love penetrates
Through all ills to exist
In its own unique fashion.
So unique to stand out
Among the many that exist.
This not in comparison,
But boasting in experience
Of living as one.

Today to have lived
A few days in your presence,
Gives me strength to face the odds.
The contagious fragrance
Of strength, that you hold,
Pierces through fear
Tearing it apart.
Love, fun and romance
With the amalgamation
Of passion, grace and endurance
Is combination of a life-long togetherness,
Foreseen.
The beauty of it,
Is seen through the eyes
Of a perichoratic,
Ever deepening,
Un-phobic
And a supercalifragalisticexpialidocious
Love that transcends,
Our comprehension of love.

Sunday

Cocooned or Caged?

Cocooned or caged a battle within,
Fighting all odds with hope so thin,
I strive to challenge so as to save my life,
From the double-edged blades of this marital knife.
Assuming a beauty of love from within,
Expecting a life that would color everythin'.
I plunged to dive into this disguised pool,
A marital knot, that knot me like a fool.

Wounds and scars cut me through,
Making me weak and my heart pierced through.
In its extravagance of pain, I crawled to the top,
Just to seek help, so that this life would stop,
But, just then a bright vision of a future hope,
Wrangled my mind to climb the misery-slope.
A parting, an answer, as its base,
To find a life of glorious days.

Though the feeling and pain of being caged,
The glory of everything this knot had staged,
T’was only a mirage of a life that was to crumble,
Not knowing the depth I stooped to stumble.
I prefer to see my life in a cocoon than a cage,
So that I spread my wings as I age.
The joys and smile I would spread around,
Will be the base that my new-life found.

Wednesday

Beyond the sky

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth,
Did not just stop there, but asked the earth to bring forth;
Making everything the earth needed in just a week,
Made the humans to fill the earth and be meek.
But the significance in that was the creation of motherhood,
Making her, in the process, to bleed blood;
She did so happily bearing the pain,
Knowing that in pain she’d even be slain.

God was content by making humans in a day,
But she was made, for ten months, in pain to stay.
She gracefully collaborated in this creating act,
She partnered with God and made this pact.

Jesus the saviour, a wonder worker was he,
Turned water into wine for the men to be merry;
The first of his great works, the people then witnessed,
He was called the saviour of the lowly and the oppressed.
O mother, O mother, a woman was she,
Turned blood into milk, so her child never goes hungry;
One of her many great works, people still witness,
Yet, raped, abused and killed and made to remain in silence.

Wine or milk? is a question of existence,
Though the latter denotes a life in abundance,
Wine wins over, despite the resistance.
For men can, with their least be overjoyed,
Just to make the women speak of these men’s pride.

Jesus, we know, bled in Calvary,
While humans on earth continued their rivalry;
As a human he bled for that moment,
His sacrifice is revered a sacrament.
But the women God created, bleeds every cycle,
This bleeding and pain still considered dishonourable;
She still in dignity walks,
While the patriarchal society still mocks.

Holy is the blood Christ shed,
Pure is the blood she bled.
Worthy is the lamb, worthy to be praised;
Therefore worthy is she, from the clutches to be raised.
Utterly brutal, even God would not agree,
The sheer betrayal of the creator’s dignity;
Was this icon of godliness, God had created,
Only for men to torment and leave her decimated?

Salvation for men is when women live in peace,
When she lives free from the world of injustice;
When she walks with her head held high;
And dream her dream to go beyond the sky.

Faith

It was a chill dark night,
I saw something that caught my sight,
Sailing in the middle of the sea,
I saw a man walking, but how could he?
Walking not on land, but on water;
As he came closer I could see better,
It was Jesus our master;

In fear and in joy I leaped;
Asking the lord if it was he,
“Yes”, he answered, and asked me to come;
I stepped out to walk, that was witnessed by some;
I could not believe my eyes because my faith was little,
I sank just then, before I could settle,
‘Lord, save me’, I cried, from a fall that could be fatal;

He caught my hand and asked,
Questioning my faith in him, that I basked,
Speechless was I, by that very thought,
A confusion that my mind could not sort;
The wind ceased and all of us praised,
Realizing that he truly is the ‘Son of God’,

Then I learnt a lesson, to put my faith in him;

Tuesday

She

She was born of a woman,
And grows to attain her womanhood;
But succumbing to the societal man,
She loses her childhood;
She desires and craves for a world of her own,
But fails to get it, and all her choices, gone;

Does only child-bearing qualify her motherhood,
Or the family-rearing from her childhood?
She like an ant is made to toil,
Harder and harder on all kinds of soil;
She happily does it, with all her heart,
With no regrets, she does her part;

All summed-up in pain from bed to grave,
All she does is just for her dear ones to be safe;

Silence of the World

When the nations fought,
The world remained silent;
When her children went starving,
The world remained silent;
When the poor were being robbed,
The world remained silent;
When her daughters were being raped,
The world remained silent;
When the green kept deteriorating,
The world remained silent;
When bombings shake the earth,
The world remains silent;
When discrimination is on the rise,
The world remains silent;

Silent! Silent! Silent!
Silent all the time;
Silent! Silent! Silent!
Even when her people whined;
When will the world ever speak,
Against the injustices that are at the peak?

Loneliness

How lonely can this world make me?
How stronger would it push me to be?
How often does it happen to me?
How can anyone give an answer to me?

This world is a greedy place
Where humans think they find solace
But it is just mere space
That disguises itself wit heavenly grace

This world means alot to me
But for it, I am just another flee
Tinier than the tiniest bee
Which isn't worth, a penny

Human beings are wonderful creatures
Who show themselves to b very mature
Inwardly just too immature
Making the self a caricature

A lonely soul would be an alien here
With long faces that gets nastier
Death is easier than such created 'fear'
This fear of being alone always show death so near

Loneliness has struck humanity
Stripping off the masks of disguised sanctity
Showing its inner insanity
Just to pull down the other, to stupidity

There is no end for the worlds cruelty
There is no end to each ones sweet coated mentality
How then can there be, in this world, serenity
When All of humanity strive to kill each other's dignity

Groaning Within

I trusted you so much, more than one could imagine,
I loved you so much, more than one could express,
But you disappointed me, giving me a migraine,
And shattered my hopes and dreams, throwing me into distress;

I thought you loved me the way I am,
I thought we were meant to be together,
I never thought you’d smash me like ham,
And make my heart’s pieces to gather;

I know I am not perfect in any manner,
But the words you have spoken, my heart it did plunder,
Tearing me into bits and pieces,
Making me feel the ugliest of all species;

Your words as I saw it, were so sweet and tender,
But never knew it was against me, my name to slander,
Crazy I am now, as I sit and ponder,
Is this it? In pain I cry, with my thoughts that wander;

I questioned myself,
How is it that I never thought you’d do this?
My heart replied you guys are the blood of my life;
Did you even think that blood was life in itself?
I’m sure not, for you thought I’d never have a ‘self’.

Did God make me this way?
I’m so sure he has his own way,
In making me the way I am, he had in mind what I am,
But in giving me people like you, was it to put me through shame?

I’m so sure, it’s not that way,
I’m so sure he has his own way,
Cos, Great is the One God I believe in,
Awesome he is in guiding me,
Moulding me through thick and thin,
His actions in me I see;

I pledge not to ask you anything about it,
Just seeking God’s help for my life to be lit,
Life is indeed a long journey of learning,
As I continue to yearn to find its meaning;

Let my life go on, as our days go by,
Disturbing you not, as I struggle to make ‘us’, ‘my’,
I will laugh out my cry, won’t let my emotions fly,
Still groaning within, caging my love in a sty;

Monday

The Kiss

On the eve of the fatal day,
The act of a loved one made me say,
'Oh father do I have to go through this?,'
I, the one the world would not want to miss;

The friend of mine who was jus too close,
He wandered with me and never cut loose,
We dined together and spread the good news,
But this very act of his did amuse;

Yes, you are right, it is the 'kiss',
The kiss that I could never miss,
I am indeed the one to go through this,
So that the world would live in a peaceful bliss;

I know Judas was meant to do it,
No one anyway can deny it,
Yes I am the one to die,
To deliver the world from it's sinful cry;

This betrayal will shake humanity,
And strip me of my divinity,
But I will endure all cruelty,
To save creation, I will be raised to eternity;

Thursday

Like Father, Like Son

I grew up in his hand, to walk on the sand,
To crawl my way back to his loving hand;
He was a man with a loving heart,
Who never would, want to see me apart;
He nurtured me as his own,
As a child grows, like a seed that is sown;

I still remember the day, he held my hand to write an A,
I had no words to say, but to sit and watch him all the way,
To see my dad mould me like a potter moulds his clay;
How wonderful it was to sit on the lap of a hero,
Who would see me transform, from a zero to a hero;
That hero is my dad, whose desires for me are never sad;

God has blest me with a wonderful father,
Whose love for me is greater than any other;
He gets wild when I fight with my bro,
In anger he disciplined, in love to grow;
I did get beaten black and blue,
That was for a purpose, a purpose to see me through;

Strict was he and nothing was so cool,
I neither studied hard, nor made an effort in school;
An alarmed dad was he, looking for ways to secure me,
He pushed me hard, but in vain, he never gave up even in pain;
I scrapped through my school and moved ahead,
A sigh of relief, that his son had just passed;

I went on to my college, saw my dad become my friend,
He poured onto me his love like there was no end;
I could speak everything to him, even about any girl or boy friend,
He was never judgmental, but just tried his best to fit into my trend;
He was a living example of how I should be,
Still learning more, from a great person like he;

Today I stand to say,
I run shorts of words, leaving me in dismay.
I can’t thank enough for that Trust you had in me,
To believe in me and to rely on me,
Encouraging me for doing good, by never stopping but to move on,
To push me into my passion and always to be a people’s person
To show me to handle life’s situations and to be patient,
To fight for the right cause of life by being self-reliant,

I could never forget your words to let me persuade my dreams,
Though sometimes it becomes the hardest it seems.
I still remember people talk about your sacrifice and the labor,
For the patience in your service and support that you offer,
They say they will remember you for your inexpressible Love and Care,
For your unceasing and ever sustaining Prayer,
My words only cannot express your Worth daddy.
But I would live your thoughts and sayings by being ever ready

Today and forever I shall thank God for such a great dad,
He is just the one, as in your plan u had;
I want to be like my dad one day,
So that all who see me would say,

"He and his dad are one,
Like father, like son;"

Two Member Crew

We met so many years back,
Worn out like a gunny bag;
We promised to pat each other’s back,
So that in life, we never lag;

The many hours of tireless talks,
Always pushing to think out of the box;
Cherishing the many hours at CCD’s,
Just to talk our life’s tragedies;

The heart-full and stomach paining laughter, we shared,
A short lead to fame we glared;
Doo and Sal, people knew were inseparable,
They also knew we were indispensable;

Anytime we took the stage,
Our talents and talks were never from the cage;
We did not know what God had planned,
But we knew for sure, He wanted us to stand;

The many movies we went,
The time and money we spent,
Worth more than the world’s treasure
That cannot be counted, as it was beyond measure;

Do you remember, our birthdays we forgot,
And the many arguments we have fought?
Yet, we carried our friendship through,
For, you and I, our only two member crew;

We have faced our odds and flak,
They tried to pull us down and set us back;
Yet, we stood like, the one among the twelve sheaves,
Making all of them turn around and freeze;

Twelve years have gone by,
Still we, on our talks go high,
The moments we spend together,
Just for our joys and sorrows in our hearts, to gather;

No one would dare to us, talk,
For the fear that we’d have a good comeback;
For, we think so much before everything we do,
All knew if it’s me, it’s you, if it’s Sal, its Doo,

God has brought us this far, He will carry us through;
And this friendship between me and you,
Will ever grow and in God renew,
For only we know, we are our two member crew;

Women in a Happy Hell

She is the one, who plays so many roles,
Born as a daughter, she turns and crawls;
Pain and pathos, cling to her societal-gender,
As she stands strong, yet so tender;

She grows to walk in death’s dark veil,
Hard it is for her, on life’s sea to sail;
She dreams of the day she gets married,
To share with her mate, all the pain she carried;

After marriage she awaits a baby to be born,
Hell amidst happiness she undergoes, in the pain she had borne;
In rearing the child, she loses her-self,
Confining her desires to her memory’s shelf;

Weaker she gets, as the years go by,
She, ‘as silenced’ now will forever lie.
A laborer, a friend, a colleague, a sister and mother
Roles she donned like there was no other.
Toiled so hard, till she went to the ground,
Will always live in many hearts, as a 'queen-crowned'.

Many 'women to-be' die as fetuses,
Just because the parents fear their taboos.
Yet a few are born to create their spaces,
But, they are made subject to all forms of injustices.

Jesus, we know, died on the cross,
On whom the suffering of all women did emboss;
The bruises, the blood, the wounds and his words,
Could do nothing, as he suffered under human swords;

Is this how we for women, pave way?
How then can the men say,
That we men are the potters and women the clay,
While molding their minds in man's own way.
Can we really wish them a happy women’s’ day?

When all forms of injustices, continue to stay.

A Craving Heart

My days without you were so brown,
It made me sad, low, and down;
I felt the chillness from top to down,
The true me, was already gone.

The happiness in seeing you,
The joyousness in feeling you,
The moments cherished with you,
Were long gone; as I still miss you

Long are the days without you,
Sad is me, without you;
Unhappy in my heart, and my day blue,
All would turn around when I hear ‘I love you’

My heart craves to speak out,
My tears go on drought,
For the happiness of you in me;
Is even greater than that, which others see

I sill wait with a craving heart,
In wholeness and not just a part,
I just wait for another chance,
To start back from the start

Pre-Proposal Anxiety

What is it that is stopping me?
The confusions that lie within me;
Would you love a person like me?
Would you accept my love for you?
There are many more questions that tangle my thought
Not allowing my mind to, the confusion-sort;

The way you see me, rekindles the love in me,
You for me, are more beautiful than that others see,
It is not the outer but the inner you, I see,
How I wish to express my love so free;
I am filled with joy and my face with glee,
Oh I see!
So this is what people call, a pre-proposal anxiety.

Over and over again, I fall for you,
Desperately dying to say I love you;
This excitement that fills my heart,
Tears my mind’s confusions apart;
Oh yea, I am in love,
Yes, me, it crazily drove;
It pushes me to propose my love to you,
And express my inner-most love for you,
Will you accept my love and allow me to journey with you?

Celebrating Love

My love:
You are so beautiful to my eye,
The sight of you makes my heart go, oh my!
My love for you does go higher than the sky,
This love for you makes me leap with joy,
And make my heart, smilingly cry;

Your eyes are like bloomed Marie-gold,
Oh the sight, to which my love, I was sold,
The kiss of your lip, it makes me strip,
All that is ill in our relationship;

Your tender cheeks, make me speak,
And your love for me makes me meek,
Your slender neck and your bosom sweet,
Ignites my senses and my body’s heat;

Your curvy hip, on which my hands slip,
Kindles the lust, as I on you creep,
Oh my love, as I go deep,
It makes me go mad, and my senses sweep;

In you my love as I penetrate,
There is nothing that can us separate,
As a life in you begins to mediate,
Between our worlds, where we love-celebrate

Sunday

Not a Knot to Knot

Around your neck is tied a thali,
Which we may think is dominating and silly;
Bu it’s actual meaning differs,
For an unconditional love it refers.

The two ends do not symbolize the tangling,
Nor the confinement around your neck and your life dangling;
It is not a knot to knot,
But a knot that we both are caught;
Caught, not to get out,
But to allow our love sprout;

May our love always, remain cute,
As the envying minds go acute,
Our families come together as one,
To harmonize in God’s most beautiful tone;

Let us together:
Live a life in love and in strife,
For the others as husband and wife;
But for us as independent lovers,
Living in our heart-made bowers;

With a heart filled with love,
Sent as a gift from God above,
Making ‘you and I,’ we,
In God now and forever be…

A Covenant That We Sought

I look into your eyes my love,
As everything seems low, as I fly above;
The love for you that can only be felt,
Hard to believe how me, it dealt.

Sweet spoken words from you rosy lip,
That travels through in our relationship,
These words that matter so much to us,
Helps and pushes and tries to pull out all fuss.

I would love to hold your hand and walk,
With the admiration and acceptance with loads to talk,
Never let others to, you and me, mock;
C’mon honey, lets pull up our sock.

I will be there for you no matter what,
The love in me, you it bought.
To make a covenant, that we always sought ,
Here we are in a love-melting pot.

God has a plan for showing me, you,
To live together and that’s not a stew,
To live a life so old, yet so new,
Let the love within us, everyday renew.

Thursday

God's Masterpiece

Am I a He or a She.?
I sit to wonder, what I would be,
Cause I feel so trapped in this masculinity,
Struggling to unravel my femininity.

Hard it is for me, in men's vicinity,
Forced am I to let go my dignity.
Bat and ball are not my game,
In which most men find their fame;
Will it remain the same?

The company of women, me, it thrills,
Men drool, and I go head over heels,
I get so excited on shopping sprees,
But the thought, I'm physically Man, makes me freeze.

I crave to create my own identity,
Fighting my fight, for eternity.
Rejected by my family, culture and society,
I still remain with tangled thoughts in perplexity.
Why should I remain this way?

Is it wrong to be born a transgender,
Is it not God's grandeur and splendour?
Why then am I treated like an untouchable?
Am I not like you, strong and stable?

I am God's masterpiece,
One of a kind, even though a few like me.
It sure is a mystery to you,
To gaze with lust, which isn't new.

All I cry for is acceptance,
Without considering me a disturbance.
As I accept you the way you are,
Why wouldn't you, to me, be fair?

Expectations

All I (we) want is this…

You and I to live happy and nice,
To create a world that is cute and nice;
To feel you while you feel me,
To know you like you know me,
To be the one you wanted US to be;

May my fantasies, be your desires,
And may your thoughts be my actions;
May we live to satisfy our need,
And fulfill our deepest dreams;
May your people, be mine,
Like my people, yours;
May the world, envy our love,
And crave to be more like us;
May we live to be till the end,
What we dreamt to be.

Let our relationship last longer than the world can tell its story,
And the seas knew where it came from,
End of the day it’s you and me
For you are mine,
And I am yours.

-Vinod Shemron

Christian Realisation

We have not been how we ought to be,
But helped our-self with all we see;
Speaking your word, how we want it to be
Happy and cosy, in prosperity;

We will not carry on a royal life,
Nor make it hard for those in strife,
Or hold them like, a neck under knife,
But live the way you wanted us to live;

We commit ourselves to do your will,
To live for the weak and push the poor to speak;
Lead us and guide us to do your will,
To live for the others and still be meek;
